| PDP holds meeting in Chattabal, calls for strengthening grassroots ahead of municipal elections | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Apr 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today held a meeting in Chattabal, led by former State Secretary and Constituency Incharge Arif Laigroo. The meeting was attended by senior PDP leader Abdul Hameed Kohsheen, District Coordinator Dr. Ali Mohammad, Faheem Bhat, Shabir Sheikh, and Nauman Sheikh. The programme was organized by Ward President Hajra Ji. Addressing party workers, Arif Laigroo urged them to gear up for the upcoming Municipal elections and intensify their outreach among the public. He emphasized the need to connect with people at the grassroots level and actively raise their issues with the concerned authorities. Laigroo highlighted several pressing concerns faced by residents, including soaring electricity bills and the poor condition of lanes and drains in the area. He said that people are growing increasingly frustrated due to the lack of basic civic amenities. Taking a dig at the ruling National Conference, Laigroo criticized the party for neglecting the city and failing to address the everyday problems of the people. He asserted that PDP remains committed to voicing public grievances and working towards their resolution. The meeting concluded with a resolve to strengthen the party at the grassroots level and ensure effective participation in the upcoming Municipal elections. |
