| NC delivering on promises with jobs, free electricity; Sadhotra highlights people-centric governance | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 12: National Conference Additional General Secretary and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today said that the decision to fill 25,000 vacancies in government departments and free electricity to AAY families in Jammu and Kashmir marks a significant step towards fulfilment of the promises made by the government led by Jenab Omar Abdullah. Addressing a public meeting at Barnai W. No. 63 in Jammu North Assembly Constituency which was organized by Sandeep Singh Manhas and Vishaw Samyal, Sadhotra said the twin initiatives reflect the government's commitment to addressing unemployment among educated youth and easing the financial burden on economically weaker sections. He said these measures are in line with the pro-people agenda of the National Conference, which has always prioritized inclusive growth and social justice. Sadhotra said fulfilling the aspirations of the educated unemployed and improving the living standards of marginalized sections remains the cornerstone of the party's philosophy. He said that the government is steadily and firmly moving on the path of empowerment, development and economic prosperity, ensuring that the benefits of governance reach every section of society. Highlighting the broader vision of the National Conference, Sadhotra said the party has consistently pursued people-centric policies aimed at bridging socio-economic gaps and ensuring equitable development across regions. The NC policies are guided by the principle of inclusivity, transcending barriers of religion, region, caste and class. The focus is on ensuring dignity, opportunity and justice for all, he said. He emphasized that the current initiatives are not isolated decisions but part of a larger roadmap to revitalize the economy, create employment avenues and strengthen public welfare systems. He said the government's approach reflects sensitivity towards the needs of common people and a resolve to deliver tangible outcomes on the ground. Sadhotra also lauded the leadership of Jenab Dr Farooq Abdullah and Jenab Omar Abdullah, saying they have always remained sincere in their efforts towards restoration of dignity and the unique identity of Jammu and Kashmir. He said their vision continues to guide the party's policies and programmes aimed at safeguarding the aspirations of the people. "The National Conference has a proven track record of standing by the people in challenging times and working tirelessly for their welfare. The present measures are a reaffirmation of that commitment," he added. Sadhotra expressed confidence that with sustained focus on employment generation, welfare initiatives and inclusive governance, Jammu and Kashmir will witness a new phase of stability, progress and prosperity, benefiting all sections of society. Local people projected their problem of shortage of drinking water and lanes and drains. Mr Sadhotra assured the participants that he will take up with the government at appropriate level and get their problems redressed.
