Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Apr 17: The three-day course on "Investigation of Anti-Corruption Cases," which commenced on 15th April 2026 at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), concluded successfully today. A total of fifteen officers from the J&K Police participated in the programme. The course was carefully designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to effectively investigate and combat corruption. The training focused on understanding various forms of corruption and the relevant legal frameworks. During the programme, participants benefited from expert faculties inputs on a wide range of topics, including anti-corruption definitions, policies, laws and Acts; an overview of the Prevention of Corruption Act; identification of suspects through handwriting analysis; investigation of abuse of official position; probing bank fraud cases; and preventive vigilance with special reference to the Public Men and Public Servants (Declaration of Assets and Other Provisions) Act, 1993. A valedictory function was held to mark the conclusion of the course. Rajesh Sharma, IPS, Dy. Director SKPA, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized that the investigation of anti-corruption cases goes beyond merely identifying offenders; it is about restoring public trust, safeguarding public resources and improving the lives of citizens. He urged the participants to adopt sound methodologies, adhere to legal frameworks and uphold the highest standards of ethics and accountability in their professional duties. In his concluding remarks, Sharma further highlighted that the fight against corruption is an ongoing process and investigators play a pivotal role as guardians of integrity. Each case they handle carries the potential to reinforce public confidence and strengthen the foundations of society.
