NMC condemned the defeat of constitution Bill 2026 which linked to the woman Reservation Act

JAMMU, Apr 18: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri on Saturday condemned the defeat of constitution (one hundred and thirty first Amendment)Bill 2026 which linked to the woman Reservation Act in the Lok Sabha yesterday which failed to secure the required two thirds majority causing it to fall leading to accusations of a betrayal of women right.
In a statement issued here, while accusing the anti bill forces of blocking women empowerment bill, Shastri termed the failure a black day for the Indian democracy and accusing these forces for anti women mind set"and 20 years history of blocked the Bill. Shastri further stated that the anti women forces denied India a historic steps towards women's empowerment and betrayed millions of women.
Calling it's delay a betrayal of women aspirations, Shastri asserted that the opposition actions were a reprehensible insult to Nari Shakti and alleged that these forces is again and again trying to divide country along north south lines using the delimitation issue also.
By blocking this bill, opposition has denial India a historic steps towards women's empowerment. This is not just political obstruction, it is a betrayal of millions of women who deserve voice and rightful representation in parliament.
The Nation will remember it, he added.
