JAMMU, Apr 20: National Conference Additional General Secretary and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra on Monday expressed deep anguish and grief over the loss of twenty one lives and about thirty injured in a tragic and unfortunate accident on the Udhampur-Ramnagar road, terming the incident as heart-rending.
In a condolence message, Sadhotra said the loss of precious lives in the mishap has caused immense sorrow and distress, and described it as a grave tragedy for the affected families. He conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and expressed solidarity with them in this hour of grief.
Sadhotra prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and strength to the families to bear the irreparable loss. He also extended his sincere wishes for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident, hoping they regain health at the earliest.
Expressing concern over the condition of the injured, Sadhotra urged the authorities to ensure specialized and adequate medical treatment to all those affected, free of cost. Sadhotra has demanded a high-level inquiry into such unfortunate tragic accident so that effective measures be taken to ensure that in future there is no such accident and responsibility be fixed for such a tragic accident.
