JAMMU, Apr 20: cleanliness drive was successfully organised by the OBC Morcha Sunderbani team at Ward No. 03 and Ward No. 04, Sunderbani, with the objective of spreading awareness regarding sanitation, hygiene, and community participation in maintaining a clean environment.
The programme was organised by Sham Mehra, State General Secretary, OBC Morcha, who emphasised the importance of public cooperation in achieving the vision of a clean and healthy society.
Several prominent leaders and dignitaries remained present on the occasion, including Senior BJP leader Capt Ramesh, State General Secretary OBC Morcha Sham Mehra,Mandal Pardhan Sunderbani Sukhdev Singh Jamwal, District incharge Senior Citizen Cell Pushpinder Chadha,State Executive Member Chand Mehra, Senior BJP leader Rakesh Sharma,Mandal General Secretaries Parshotam Gupta and Joginder Paul Sharma, Mandal Vice President Chanan lal Sharma, Mandal Vice President Anu Radha Gupta along with the dedicated Safai Karamcharis of Municipality Sunderbani.
In his message Braham jyot satti, President BJP obc morcha jammu kashmir stated that cleanliness is directly linked with health, discipline, and social responsibility. He said that every citizen must actively participate in keeping their surroundings neat and clean, as a clean environment ensures a healthier and more progressive society.
He further said, Cleanliness is not only the responsibility of the government, but a public movement and the moral duty of every citizen. He urged people to adopt cleanliness as a daily habit and inspire others to contribute towards making towns, villages, streets, and public places cleaner and greener.
The leaders present also appreciated the efforts of municipal workers and volunteers who participated enthusiastically in the drive. They stressed that such initiatives help strengthen public awareness and encourage collective responsibility among citizens.
The programme concluded with a pledge by all participants to continue working for cleanliness, sanitation, and environmental awareness in the Sunderbani area.
