| Govt Schools Shine | | | | The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has declared the results of annual/regular 10th Class (Summer Zone) schools of Jammu division. The overall pass percentage has increased to 88.85%, which is much better than the last year’s percentage of 79.94. Another important highlight of the result is that the pass percentage for government schools has gone upto of 83.44. It’s an encouraging sign and highlights the improvement of educational standards in Government institutions. The Board examination results often serve as a mirror of the education system. When pass percentages improve substantially, it indicates that students are receiving stronger support, schools are functioning more effectively and the learning environment is becoming more productive. The latest JKBOSE result suggests that sustained efforts in strengthening school education are beginning to yield positive outcomes. One of the most heartening aspects of the result is the improvement shown by government schools, where the pass percentage has climbed to 83.44 per cent. For years, government institutions have faced criticism over infrastructure gaps, teacher shortages and uneven academic performance. Therefore, this progress deserves recognition. It demonstrates that when proper attention is given to teaching quality, monitoring, attendance and student guidance, government schools are fully capable of competing with private institutions. This achievement also carries social significance. A large number of students from economically weaker and rural backgrounds depend on government schools for their education. Better results from these institutions mean greater opportunities for deserving students who may otherwise face disadvantages. Improved performance can inspire confidence among parents and encourage more families to trust public education. Results are a testament of the commitment of the students and the collective efforts of teachers, parents, and the education system at large. The pass percentage of government schools is very encouraging and highlights the improvement of educational standards in institutions. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Education Minister Sakina Itoo while congratulating the students of summer zone schools extended their best wishes to all successful candidates and encouraged those who may not have achieved their desired outcome to remain determined and continue striving for excellence. The improved JKBOSE Class 10 results are a welcome milestone for Jammu division. They show that with determination, planning and collective effort, educational transformation is possible. The rise in government school performance is particularly significant, as it points toward a stronger and more equitable future. |
