Girdawar in Vigilance net

Jammu, June 02- The State Vigilance Organization today caught red-handed Balak Ram, Girdawar and his middleman Jangi Ram, retried Patwari, while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.5200 from the complainant for transferring his ancestral land to his name.
Following a written complaint lodged by Ajit Singh son of Revail Singh of Kalan, R.S Pura, Jammu, alleging therein that the concerned Girdawar is demanding Rs.5200 gratification for transferring/mutating of his land to his name, the Vigilance Organization registered a case under FIR No.12/2009. A team of SVO officials were deputed to R.S Pura, and during a trap the accused Girdawar along with his tout were caught red handed while accepting bribe of Rs.5200 from the complainant. The tainted money was recovered from the possession of the accused persons in presence of independent witnesses. Hand wash of the accused persons tested positive. The accused were arrested for further investigation.
