| IGP Jammu constitutes Friends cricket team | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 2
A Cricket team comprising of 16 children of different age groups have been constituted and named as ‘Friends of Police’ by IGP Jammu Zone Jammu and they have been provided full Cricket kit including cricket dresses from IGP Jammu Zone. The distribution was done by SSP Jammu accompanied by SP City North, SDPO Bakshinagar and I/C PP Canal at Chander Bhaga .
Besides this a general public meeting was also held during meeting various issues were raised by the participants pertaining to various departments and they were assured by SSP Jammu that all the genuine problems highlighted by them will be solved by taking up the matter with concerned departments. SSP Jammu besides issuing necessary instructions to SP City North, SDPO City West, Jammu, SHO Nawabad and SHO Women Cell for early redressal of grievances also asked general public to come forward and become eyes and ears of Police to make society crime free. During meeting SHO P/S Women Cell also apprised people regarding crime against the women and how to eradicate it.
