| Inter-school competitions of Jammu district start | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 02: Annual inter-school competitions in major team events in boys age groups of under14 and under-17 started today under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), here at different venues.
While hockey and football competitions played at K K Hakhu Stadium and GGM Science College grounds, here respectively, the basketball matches took place at Mini Stadium, Parade, here.
Earlier, the competitions were declared open by the District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSS), Jai Raj.

BASKETBALL Under-14: St Peters BC Road bt J K Public School 11-2; MIER bt St Peter Karan Bagh 15-10. Under-17: J K Public School bt SOS Gol Gujral 8-2; St. Peters Karan Bagh bt MIER 18-7; St Peters B C Road bt J K Public School 23-12; MHAC Nagbani bt St. Peters Karan Bagh 15-5.
FOOTBALL Under-17: JK Public School trounced MHAC Nagbani by three goals to two. Under-14: SOS Gol Gujral bt St Peters B C Road 3-0; MHAC Nagbani bt Alexander Memorial 1-0; J K Public School bt MSSV Mandir Resham Ghar 4-0.
HOCKEY Under-14: SOS School bt High School Simbal Camp by five goals to one. Under-17: SOS School bt Higher Secondary School Gol Gujral by two goals to nil.
