| GDC Majalta orgasises parent-teacher meeting under NMBA campaign | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Apr 30: Government Degree College Majalta today organized a parent teacher meeting to sensitize the students and parents about the danger of substance abuse and addiction. The event was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr Shalini Sharma, Principal of the College and coordinated by Prof. Naresh Kumar, Nodal Officer, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The event served as a constructive platform for open dialogue between teachers and parents, enabling them to share concerns, experiences and suggestions regarding students' well-being and behavioral development.
Faculty members highlighted the crucial role of parental guidance, emotional support and a healthy home environment in preventing substance abuse among youth.
The speakers emphasized the physical, psychological and social consequences of drug addiction. They also discussed early warning signs, preventive strategies and the importance of timely intervention. Students were encouraged to stay focused on their academic and personal goals and to adopt a healthy lifestyle free from drugs and harmful substances.
The programme witnessed active engagement from both parents and students, who expressed their views and sought guidance on tackling such issues effectively.
