| Two held with country made pistols | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua, June 2: Kathua police in different raids conducted in the area arrested two youths and recovered two country made pistols from their possession. On specific information Kathua police led by SHO Devakar Singh under the supervision of SSP Kathua Garib Dass conducted a raid in the house of one Jogh Singh son of Janak Singh and seized a country made pistol besides arrested him. On his revelations police also conducted raid in the shop of one Rakesh Sharma son of Satpal Sharma resident of Patel Nagar and also recovered another country made pistol from his possession. Police is claiming that with the arrest of these two youths a major tragedy has been averted. Police also smells some foul play behind the restoration of pistols by youths. Raids are also on and a gang is also expecting to be busted soon. Where as in another incident Bani police also arrested a drug smuggler and recovered thirty five pouches of illicit liquor from his possession. The accused identified as Kulwant Singh son of Chanchal Singh resident of Sandal area was running the business of illicit trade in his grocery shop. The arrest was made by Incharge police post Amit Singh. The cases have been registered in the concerned police stations.
