Police conducts Anti-Drug Awareness drives under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in Bhella

DODA, May 5: Continuing its sustained efforts to curb drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free society, Doda Police organized a series of impactful awareness programmes under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and Operation Pathshala at Bhella, Bus stand Circular Road Thathri and Bhalla (Bhaderwah).
At Moon Light Model Academy, Bhella, an awareness programme was conducted by Police Post Karara. The programme witnessed active participation from EMIC Bhella along with school staff and a large number of students.
During the session, participants were sensitized about the harmful and long-term effects of drug abuse, with emphasis on adopting informed and responsible life choices. Following the awareness session, an anti-drug rally was organized by students and participants. The rally passed through the entire Bhella market, spreading strong anti-drug messages among the general public, and culminated peacefully near the Tehsil Office Bhella. The event saw enthusiastic participation of approximately 140-150 individuals, reflecting strong community engagement.
In a similar initiative, Police Post Bhalla, under the leadership of IC PP Bhalla Bhaderwah, conducted an awareness programme at Higher Secondary School Drudu under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and Operation Pathshala. The programme was attended by representatives of various departments, teaching staff, and around 100 students.
During the session, students were educated about the ill effects of drug abuse and were also made aware of the growing threats of cyber fraud and other social challenges. The programme concluded with the administration of an anti-drug pledge, wherein participants resolved to work collectively towards eradicating the menace of drugs from society.
In continuation of the drive, an interactive programme regarding the drug menace was conducted today at Bus Stand, Circular Road, Thathri by SHO PS Thathri along with police teams. During the programme, commuters were educated about the ill effects of drug abuse and informed about the legal consequences under the relevant provisions of law.
Doda Police reiterates its firm commitment towards building a drug-free society and will continue to organize such awareness programmes to engage, educate, and empower the youth against social evils.
