JAMMU, May 5: Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School Akalpur Morh Jammu organised "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan" in and around the adjoining area of the school awaring the people about the harmful effects of intoxication and its aftermaths on human body and domesticity.
During the programme various activities like poster making, slogan writing and rallies in the adjoining vicinity were organised by the students as well as teachers.
A special morning assembly was also organised in which a pledge against drug-addiction and intoxication was taken by the students and teachers. Some students delivered speeches on the insidiousness of taking drugs and alcohol.
School Principal Mrs. Anupama Koul, in her speech, advised the students not to imbibe any such thing that can cause harm to their bodies. She asserted that we all, through our united efforts against drug addiction, can make our country a drug-free nation for its overall growth and development. |
