UDHAMPUR, May 5: Continuing its sustained drive against drug abuse under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Udhampur Police apprehended two persons and recovered psychotropic substances from their possessions.
A police party of PP Tikri, while on routine patrolling duty near Dukhada, Samole, intercepted and apprehended two individuals. The accused have been identified as Babu S/o Bagh Hussain R/o Muttal and Saif Din S/o Yousuf Mohd R/o Muttal, Udhampur.
During checking, 10 strips of Pregabalin capsules (total 100 capsules) were recovered from their possession. Both individuals failed to produce any valid prescription or satisfactory explanation regarding the possession of the recovered substance. In this connection, the Drug Control Department has been intimidated for further necessary action.
Udhampur Police reiterates its firm commitment towards eradicating drug abuse and urges the general public to extend cooperation in making society drug-free. |
