| Jourian school holds symposium on global warming | | | Early Times Report
Jourian, Akhnoor, June 3: A symposium on “Global warming and climate change” was organized in govt. girls high school, Jourian and was sponsored by WWF India, Jammu and Kashmir, centre for environment, education and training of university Jammu.
The students shared their views on the factors and preventive measure for global warming and climate change.
Devinder Singh president, Municipal committee Jourian was the chief guest on the occasion while Madan Lal Sharma, headmaster, presided over the programme, and motivated students to grow plants and trees and asked them to keep their school and environment meet and clean.
The school committee members who were also invited appreciated the school authorities for organizing such programme in public interest after the symposium the student of the school marched in the form of a rally with shouting slogans written on the banners on the streets of the town to make the people aware about the global warming and climate change.
