| Samba to get rid of unauthorized structures | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, JUNE 03 - District Development Commissioner, Samba, Mr. Saurabh Bhagat, today constituted a committee to keep a strong vigil over unauthorized constructions in the district. “The unauthorized constructions will not only jeopardize the look of the area but also deprive the people of basic amenities which government ensures for planned legal structures”, he asserted.
The committee comprising Tehsildar, Samba, Sub Divisional Police Officer and concerned Executive Officers of respective Municipal Committees will check that no construction is done in the district without the prior permission from concerned authorities and after noticing any illegal construction it will submit a detailed report to DDC’s office for further necessary action.
Mr. Bhagat asked the committee to ensure that no structure is raised near National Highway especially around the Chichi Mata Temple and District Office complex as this will have a drastic impact on aesthetic beauty of the area besides deforming the district’s edifice.
Terming people’s active cooperation in this vigorous drive a potent tool, the DDC conveyed a avid appeal to Samba local to extend complete support to the Committee and the district dispensation to save district’s structure from being distorted.
