| Probe panel invites statements | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, JUNE 03 – The Commission of Inquiry, headed by Justice (retd) Muzaffer Jan, probing the death of two women at Shopian, has sought statements of facts/allegations by all aggrieved individuals, group of persons, associations, institutions and organizations having knowledge, directly or indirectly, of facts and circumstances relating to the deaths and having interest in the proceedings before the Commission on June 8, 2009. According to a notification issued by the Commission of Inquiry here today, anyone who wishes to assist the Commission in making suggestions, have been invited to furnish their statement of facts/allegations in the form of affidavits, duly verified by deponents and sworn before any court or magistrate or notary, along with three photosat copies before the Secretary of the Commission, at PWD Dak Bungalow, Shopian, on June 8 between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. either in person or through an advocate or duly-authorized attorney. The affidavits must state the occupation, age and complete present residential address of the deponent, who may file along with his/her statement of facts, a list of witnesses and any supporting document relating to the matter under reference. The affidavit must verify that the statements made in the affidavit are true and correct to the best of personal their knowledge and belief.
