JP World School hosts Grand AI Summit; launches Advanced AI Lab with AI Educator

JAMMU, May 14: JP World School, Jammu, proudly organized its first-ever AI Summit, marking a remarkable step towards technological innovation and future-ready education. The landmark event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, educators, and distinguished dignitaries, making it a resounding success.
The summit was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Rakesh Minhas, IAS, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate, Jammu, whose inspiring presence added immense value to the occasion. Widely respected for his commitment to good governance, public service delivery, and anti-drug awareness initiatives, Dr. Minhas applauded the school's visionary efforts in integrating Artificial Intelligence into education.
The event commenced with a warm welcome to the school's Chairperson Dr. Panna Manhas Choudhary, Chief Guest Dr. Rakesh Minhas, IAS, Guests of Honour Prof. Vinod Sharma, Professor (Computer Science & IT) and Director, Ramnagar Campus, University of Jammu; Dr. Arvind Selwal, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Central University of Jammu; and Pardeep Dutta, Senior Journalist and Geostrategic Expert.
The summit also witnessed the gracious presence of elite guests including Somil Abrol, Journalist, Press Trust of India (PTI), J&K, and Rahul Sharma, PhD Research Scholar in Brain-Computer
Interface & Deep Learning, Department of Computer Science, University of Jammu.
Special recognition was extended to the Awardees 2026 including Rajat Mahajan, Relationship Manager at HDFC Asset Management Company; Ruchir Mahajan, ASU Unit Manager at HDFC Mutual Fund; Susheel Sharma, Zonal Head, Airtel; Arun Kumar; and Sukhwinder for their notable contributions in their respective fields.
The gathering also warmly welcomed Principal Aparana Kohli Ji.
A major highlight of the summit was the inauguration of the school's state-of-the-art AI Lab featuring an AI Educator, designed to promote innovation, creativity, and experiential learning among students. The unveiling of 'IRIS', an advanced AI-powered initiative, generated great excitement among attendees. A live demonstration showcasing the capabilities and real-world applications of IRIS received immense appreciation from the audience and dignitaries alike.
The summit showcased the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence across sectors such as education, banking, automobile industries, filmmaking, editing, School ERP systems, and library management, offering participants valuable insights into the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
