Early Times Report RAMBAN, May 15: Government Degree College Ramban successfully organised a series of activities, including a debate and quiz competition, as part of the ongoing "100 Days Campaign on Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan. The programme was conducted under the overall supervision of Principal Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri and coordinated by Prof. Ram Parkash, Convener, NCORD Committee. In his address, the Principal lauded the sincere efforts of the organising team and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students. He encouraged them to act as responsible citizens and contribute meaningfully towards the realisation of a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir. The debate competition was moderated by Dr. Vishal Baloria, while the jury members included Dr. Robinder Kumar, Prof. Neetu Sharma and Dr. Anuj Gupta. In the competition, Shafiya Katoch of Semester-IV secured the 1st position, while Shahzib Runyal and Omesh Kumar secured the 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively. In the quiz competition, three teams from Semester-II, Semester-IV, and Semester-VIII participated enthusiastically. The team from Semester-IV secured the 1st position, followed by teams from Semester-VIII and Semester-II, who secured the 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively. A large of students from different semesters witnessed their presence in both the events and showed their commitment to aware the society about the ill effects of this menace. The programme concluded with a pledge under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, which was administered by Dr. Anuj Gupta, reaffirming the commitment of all participants towards building a drug-free society. |
