Early Times Report RAMNAGAR, May 15: Under the aegis of Mission YUVA and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the Directorate of Employment, Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with the Career Counselling and Placement Cell and NCORD Cell of Government Degree College Ramnagar organized a Placement Drive for unemployed youth, pass-out students, and final-year students of the college. The event was conducted under the able guidance of the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Bhavnaish Chand Anthal. A large number of candidates from the local areas, including unemployed youth, pass-out students, and aspiring final-year students, enthusiastically participated in the placement drive and appeared for interviews conducted by the recruiting agencies. The initiative aimed at enhancing employment opportunities, career awareness, and constructive youth engagement. Addressing the participants, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Bhavnaish Chand Anthal appreciated the efforts of the Directorate of Employment and the organizing committees for providing a valuable platform to the youth. He emphasized that such initiatives play a significant role in guiding students and unemployed youth towards self-reliance, career development, and a responsible lifestyle free from social evils and substance abuse. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pankaj Sharma (Convenor, Career Counselling and Placement Cell) and Prof. Sanjay Malhotra (Mission YUVA Mentor) also highlighted the importance of skill development, career planning, and employment-oriented initiatives in empowering the youth and steering them towards a productive and drug-free future. The placement drive was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Convenor, Career Counselling and Placement Cell; Dr. Sham Singh, Convenor, NCORD Cell; Prof. Anice Ahmed; Prof. Sanjay Malhotra, Mission YUVA Mentor; and Prof. Tanmeet Kour, who remained actively present throughout the event and facilitated the smooth conduct of the interviews and interaction sessions.
