Early Times Report NEW DELHI, May 15: Today, tuesday, 15th May 2026, Sahitya Akademi New Delhi organized its special program for rural Poets, "Gramaloka" at Degree College shiv gali Basantgarh district Udhampur . The participant poets were as under: Dev Raj, Jai Dev Chand, Ritu Singh, Swarn Singh Koshtani and Wazir Mohammad Program was chaired by Mohan Singh, a Sahitya Akademi Awardee and Padmshri Awardee, who is also the convenor Dogri advisory board Sahitya Akademi. He in his welcome address unfolded the all schemes of Sahitya Akademi for the benefits of language and literature. He further added that Sahitya Akademi is the only organization of the country, working for the development of all the 24 languages of India, recognized by Sahitya Akademi. Sahitya Akademi is known as National Akademi of Letters. Gramaloka was designed for the benefit of those writers who are living in the farflunge areas and writing in their languages. To provide them the platform of Sahitya Akademi under the banner of gramaloka was the idea of this scheme. The participant poets spellbound the audience and audience enjoyed the programme too much. Poets from different parts of jammu also grace the occasion in which Shivdev Singh Susheel, Poorn Chander Sharma and Randhir Singh Raipuriya was the prominent. Among the college side was prof. Pardeep Kundal, Tirth Ram, Ridhik, Viveka, Ishita, Kajal, Shivantik, Sapna, Savita, Maniksha and Ankur Thakur etc. Recited their beautiful poems. |
