Early Times Report RAMGARH, May 15: In a significant initiative aimed at promoting a drug-free society and spreading awareness against substance abuse, the NSS Unit and NCORD Unit of Government Degree College Ramgarh organised a women-led NashaMukt Awareness Drive in Swankha village. The programme was conducted under the esteemed guidance of the Principal, Prof. Dr. MeeruAbrol, and supervision of NSS Programme Officer and NCORD Convener Dr. Snobar. During the awareness drive, the volunteers and faculty members interacted with local residents and sensitised them about the social, psychological, and economic consequences of substance abuse. The participants highlighted the vital role of women in building a responsible and drug-free society and encouraged the youth to stay away from harmful addictions.Awareness slogans and messages promoting a NashaMukt Bharat were shared among the villagers to inspire collective action against drug abuse. The volunteers also emphasised the importance of family support, moral values, and community participation in preventing substance abuse among young people. The villagers appreciated the initiative and expressed their support for such awareness programmes in rural areas. Faculty and Staff members of the college actively participated in the drive and encouraged the community to work collectively towards creating an aware, healthy, and addiction-free society. |
