| Over 3.32 lakh pilgrims pays obeisance Shiv Khori | | | Early Times Report REASI, JUNE 4: Over 3, 32,283 pilgrims from with in and various parts of the country visited the historic Shiv Khori Shrine Cave situated in Sanger hills of Pouni block in the Reasi district during first five months of the current calendar year.
It was disclosed by the Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Mr. Sanjeev Verma who is also the Vice Chairman of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board here at Reasi today.
During the first five months of the last calendar year, about 2, 10,382 pilgrims had darshan of the holy cave thus registering an increase of about 1,21,901 pilgrims during first five months of this year.
Verma further revealed that tile work on 3 km long track from village Ransoo the base camp of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Cave has been also completed and the work on construction of 5 multi storied waiting hall near the cave is in progress.
Shiv Khori Shrine Board is also making all out efforts to provide more infrastructural facilities to the visiting pilgrims at the base camp and at the site of cave and number of development works have been initiated in this regard.
About 57237 pilgrims visited the ancient Shiv Khori Shrine cave in May, 2009 and presently 2000 pilgrims are visiting daily to the cave shrine to pay obeisance.
This destination is emerging now as the second largest pilgrimage destination in the Reasi district after Shri Mata Vaishni Devi.
The other source of pilgrimage like Aghar Jitto, Nav Mata, Danser Baba, Dera Baba, Siar Baba , Kakala Mata temple, Mahadev temple, Chenana Devta Salal, Zirat Jandi Morh and Zirah Simle Choa are also witnessing heavy rush of devotees these days.
