Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, May 15: Udhampur Police continued its firm commitment towards the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan. The department reiterated its resolve to intensify action against drug peddlers while simultaneously creating awareness to safeguard the youth from the menace of drugs. Udhampur Police has attached an immovable property worth Rs 71 lakhs belonging to drug peddler Jawaz Ahmed Wani S/O Abdul Rashid Wani R/O Akramabad, Doda under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act. The attachment has been made in connection with FIR No. 32/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of Police Station Rehambal. During the course of investigation, it came to fore that the accused had acquired the property from the proceeds of illicit narcotics trade. Accordingly, the said property has been attached/seized under the provisions of Section 68-F of the NDPS Act for further legal proceedings. |
