| ASN School holds Guru Bandhan Chhatra Abhinandan Programme | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 16: A.S.N. Hr. Sec. School, Channi Himmat, Jammu in Collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad (Shivalik Branch, Channi Himmat) Jammu today conducted "Guru Bandhan Chhatra Abhinandan Program" inside the school auditorium to enhance the student teacher relation in order to improve the education system and to inculcate moral values amongst the students. The function started with lightening of traditional lamp, garlanding of mother India followed by "Vandey- Matram and National Anthem". Ritesh Kapoor, Director of the School highlighted the importance of such programmes inside the school. He said today in the era of change, everybody is moving away from his social responsibilities and not only adopting the western culture but also forgetting our own cultural heritage. He added that Moral values empower an individual to perform better with human intentions, motives, acts, and relationships with other individuals. Moral values form the basis of all religious practices. A student's life is a cycle of challenges and changes. As a child grows, he or she imbibes a lot of lessons and moral values. While some may get forgotten, some stick till the rest of life. Therefore, it is highly essential to inculcate moral values in students' lives as their hands lie in the future. Students with ethical values become responsible and accountable people, while those spoiled become a threat to the society or culture. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. H.C.Vaid, Advisor Shivalik Branch, Bharat Vikas Parishad presents the importance of Guru Bandhan as per Gurukuls in the history and gave the symbolic representations of the same. He said celebrating Teachers day in the schools is basically to show the real contribution of teachers in making the life and future of the students. He added that every Parent takes pride in his or her kid's good moral character. Most Indian families follow strict instructions to imbibe ethical values. They highlight the importance of moral values and teach them at an early age. Various resource persons who spoke on the occasion are Mr. Ashok Gupta, Advisor, Prof. Vijay Sharma- Sansar Pramukh, Mr. Rakesh Sharma, Secretary Branch and Mr. Vivek Mahajan- Treasurer Shivalik Branch. More than 200 students & around 20 teachers of the school attended this programme. Various students were also awarded for their outstanding performance in the school during the programme by members of Bharat Vikas Parishad. Students also took oath on Nasha Mukt Bharat. Tarun Kumar & Bhoomika Sharma of 12th Class, Anirudh and Sarika of 11th Class, Abhayinder and Sheekha Kapoor of 10th Class, Nimanshu Pajgotra and Guzala Anjam of 9th Class, Laksh Bhagat and Zoya Khan of 8th Class, Mohd. Faizan Malik and Aksa Khan of 7th Class, Gandhivya Singh Charak and Radhika Rajput of 6th Class, Aahsan Ibrahim and Vanshika Bhagat of 5th Class, Aryan Bhagat and Madhubala of 4th Class, Saghav Singh and Areeba Shahid of 3rd Class, Sparsh Pajgotra and Tejaswini Shan of 2nd Class, Divyansh Sharma and Jaskirat Kour of 1st Class, Divyam Sharma and Adhira Thakur of U.K.G. Class and Anirudh of Nursery Class and Diya Thakur of L.K.G. Classes were felicitated on the occasion of Guru Bandhan Chhatra Abhinandan Programme. |
