| ERA playing havoc with Ramnagar road widening: Pathania | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jun 4- Advocate R.S. Pathania, who unsuccessfully contested the recently held Assembly election from Ramnagar constituency, has criticized the lackadaisical approach of ERA and PBA the construction agency, towards execution of work on the ambitious Roun-Ramnagar road-widening project.
He said that he had got forwarded a number of public and technical complaints to the Chief Minister regarding the improper execution of work on the said road but he has not shown any inclination to address the same. Rather it is surprising that he is expressing fullest satisfaction with the working style and standard of work done by them. He questioned the parameters employed by Chief Minister while arriving at such a blanket conclusion.
He said the road was scheduled to be completed within a period of two years but regretted that nothing of the sort has happened and it looks that some vested interests within the government as well ERA are trying to intentionally sabotage the work on the project. The case of compensation to people who shall lose their homes, shops and lands on account of the road-widening program has been given a green signal by the government more than two years back.
Pathania appealed the Chief Minister to personally intervene into the matter otherwise his cadres shall be forced to spark off a peoples' movement against the injustice and fraud being meted out to the people of Ramnagar. He also demanded an impartial inquiry through a technical agency to ascertain the quality of work.
