| Summer bonanza for Jammu kids | | Natrang Children’s Theatre Camp from Jun 10 | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 4- ‘Children’s Theatre Camp-2009’- one of the major annual theatre events by Natrang is beginning from June, 10 at Natrang Studio Theatre.
Announcing this at a press conference here today Natrang Director Balwant Thakur said that this is going to be 40 day training for children and the timings will be from 8.30 to 10.30 am daily. This is going to be a production oriented workshop in which a full-length play will be produced and will be performed on the concluding day at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. Top experts and professionals in the field will impart training on personality development, public speaking, memory development, confidence gain, infusing creativity through the latest developed techniques of Oxford Summer School (UK). The faculty will include trained experts of National School of Drama and Indian Theatre Department, Chandigarh.
Commenting on the various camps being organized in different schools he said that unfortunately they are not being handled by the professionals. Creativity and innovative work is not everybody is baby and in this competitive world we must offer our children something unique which could enhance and explore their inner immense abilities. Natrang in this regard offers a rarest opportunity for children and based on our past accomplishments parents will certainly rush to Natrang.
Theatre is one of the most effective medium of human development and Natrang in the last twenty five years have developed such training methodology for children which have shown amazing results. He said Drama is one of the arts through the practice of which children may grow and mature as superior human beings.
