| BJP’s Khajuria alleges was disembarked from Srinagar bound plane, Police denies | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jun 4: As communal tension erupted in Rangreth area of Srinagar, the state president of BJP and legislator Ashok Khajuria today alleged that he was forcibly disembarked from a Srinagar bound plane this afternoon at Jammu airport.
Khajuria said that he along with some other party leaders was headed for Srinagar to assess the situation arising out of reported clashes between members of two communities in Rangreth area of Badgam that cops made him to disembark the plane. “I was aboard an Indian Airlines flight when policemen walked in forcibly tried to disembark me”, Khajuria told Early Times and added, “many co-passenger shouted against the Police behavior but that did not help and I was not allowed to fly”.
The airport Police (anti-hijacking wing) has, however, denied any such thing having happened at the airport. An officer, who did not wish to be named, told Early Times, “he may have been advised against traveling but the story about forcible disembarking is a complete figment of imagination”. The officer pointed out, “once a passenger has taken the boarding pass and has occupied the seat in plane there is no question of taking him down as per the regulations of bureau of civil aviation”.
The BJP president, however, strongly maintained his version. Khajuria said, “There were reports about attack on the Sikh community at Rangrath in Budgam on yesterday, and they were going to express solidarity with them.’
BJP chief said, “he alongwith state vice-president Rajesh Gupta, had boarded Indian Airlines flight today but was denied of their journey to Srinagar and were forced out of the Plane from their seats bearing No. 4-C and 4-D. He regretted the approach of administration as it had stopped the BJP leader from going to Srinagar. He accused that government has provided Z- plus security to separatists and leaders of political parties that have no religious tolerance but always targets the nationalistic forces.
Khajuria further alleged the new Congress-NC alliance has stepped up its activities to purge the non-Muslims from all the decision making bodies and reduce the non-Muslim minorities in the state to a nullity for all practical purposes and thus under a plan Cong-NC excluded Hindus from the Rajya Sabha nominations and even from Legislative Council Elections and then the non-inclusion of Jammu elected Lok Sabha Members into the union council of ministers.
Meanwhile, the Shriomani Akali Dal (SAD) (B), condemns the attack by majority community at a Sikh Gurdawara and in residential places of Sikh minority community in “Rangreth” area of district Budgam.
SAD has termed it as uncalled and unprovoked attack on minorities to terrorize them even ladies were not spared which is a shameful act, and has hurt the religious sentiments of entire Sikh community of the state.
Such violence and attack without any substantial reasons are uncalled for and need to be condemned by all right thinking people. This is simply an attack to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the valley. Such actions are under well conceived plan to send wrong message to increasing tourist and particularly in view of ensuing Amaranth Yatra.
SAD ridicule these attack in all their manifestations and urge upon the government to bring miscreants to justice and urge the govt. to compensate the losses to aggrieved parties on urgent basis and order an enquiry to bring facts to for front.
