| KP Scientist Kuldeep Wali dies at Antartica | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jun 5- Professional meteorologist with India Meteorological Department in Antartica, Kuldeep Wali, died on Monday at Antarctica after he suffered a massive Myocardial infarction. Wali, a meteorologist, was deputed to Antarctica as a member of the winter over team of the 28th Indian Scientific Expedition in November 2008 and was expected to return back by November this year. He is survived by his wife Rita Wali and daughter Ranshu Wali. The Wali family is based in Najafgarh, Delhi. Kuldeep Wali left NCAOR, Goa on November 17, 2008 along with the second contingent of the 28th ISEA. After a brief stopover in South Africa the team left Cape Town onboard ALCI flight D4 on November 21 and ever since, he was actively involved in research and worked until the last. Indian Research Base, Maitri Antarctica and at National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research, Goa has condoled death of Kuldeep Wali. The speakers said that his contributions o Antarctic Science will always be admired by future generations. Meanwhile, Roots In Kashmir, global initiative of the Kashmiri Pandit youth on Friday condoled the death of Shri Kuldeep Wali. The core team of 'Roots In Kashmir' met this evening at its headquarters at New Delhi to pay our homage to the departed soul.
