JMC Corporator of BJP from ward No. 64, Smt. Sheela Koul Handoo, today lambasted the JMC Commissioner for not allowing utilization of full funds earmarked for her ward for the year 2007-2008.
In her statement JMC Corporator of BJP Smt Sheela Handoo said that she had expressed her dissatisfaction with the JMC Commissioner and Superintending Engineer over the quality of works of lanes, drains and black topping of roads being undertaken in her ward. She also alleged the ward people are made to suffer because she raised the issue of sub standard work with the JMC officials and alleged instead of responding the her complaints the JMC stopped all the works going on in the said ward.
Sheela Handoo further lamented that a water cooler to be installed is yet lying unutilised for the last 2 years which speaks of the discriminatory attitude of the JMC authorities towards her ward. ‘For the year 2009-2010, I have submitted estimates of rupees ten lakh but no work has been undertaken by the agencies, she said.
