| Dental camp held at JU | | | early Times Report
Jammu , June 5
A dental camp for children of the Surbhi Nursery School run by the Department of Home Science in the University of Jammu was today organized on the campus.
The Dental Surgeon, Dr.Gautam Sharma, of the Health Centre of the University, checked teeth of children below the age of 5.
Toothpaste and toothbrush of Colgate were given free to the students by the Chief Medical Officer, Dr.Manju Gupta and Health Officer, Aman Sharma. The dental wing of the University is catering to about 5000 patients every year.
Dr.Gautam Sharma gave demonstration to the children about proper brushing methods to keep their teeth healthy and maintain oral hygiene.
He advised the young ones to inculcate the habit of regularly cleaning their teeth so as to keep them healthy.
Dr.Manju Gupta said that the health center of the university has been organizing camps for free heart check up and also for diabetics. She appreciated Dr.Gautam Sharma for organizing the dental camp. Dr.Neeru Sharma and Mamta Singh, both senior faculty members of the home science department, were present on the occasion.
