| Jammu still victim of discrimination : BJP | | | Early Times Report Jammu June 5 Reacting to the reports of biased attitude adopted by Prasar Bharti towards Jammu Doordarshan, BJP State President Ashok Khajuria said this is another glaring example of discrimination with Jammu. ‘We had been blaming the successive governments in the state for giving step motherly treatment to the Jammu in all matters and at all levels. But it is unfortunate that the Union government too has adopted same attitude towards Jammu, Mr Khajuria said while interacting with Doordarshan Approved Drama Artists Association (DADAA). Ashok Khajuria said that it is shocking to know that after its shifting from Kashmir to Jammu due to turmoil, Doordarshan Jammu has not been treated as a full-fledged station. Inadequate funding, no permanent Director, provision of less time slot for Jammu Doordarshan and no uplinking facilities speaks of the height of discrimination. Ashok Khajuria said that the Jammu region has already suffered a lot during the last over 60 years due to the discriminatory policies adopted by the State governments and if it continues further it will be presumed that it has bowed the before the Kashmiri leaders, who have been black-mailing the centre from time-to-time for their petty personal games and exploiting the sentiments of the people. While extending full support to the demands raised by Doordarshan Approved Drama Artists Association (DADAA), Khajuria said the Prasar Bharti should immediately concede the demands of DADAA and added Jammu too has rich Duggar cultural heritage but it needs to be highlighted by the Doordarshan and for this purpose the Prasar Bharti should set a separate Dogri section and provide additional funds
