UDHAMPUR, June 6: The untimely demise of Agniveer Aran Chandel has left the people of Udhampur and Doda in deep sorrow. A young soldier, talented athlete, and symbol of determination, Aran's passing has created a void among his family, friends, fellow soldiers, and the sporting community.
Born on November 16, 2002, Aran Chandel displayed exceptional talent in athletics from a young age. He represented the region in numerous state and national-level competitions and won several medals as a runner. His achievements brought pride to Udhampur and Doda and inspired many young athletes to pursue excellence in sports.
Driven by a strong desire to serve the nation, Aran joined the Indian Army in 2022 after being selected as an Agniveer Technical Assistant. Despite having other career opportunities, including prospects in the police force, he chose military service, considering it his lifelong dream. His dedication, discipline, and commitment soon earned him respect among his peers and seniors. |
