Early Times Report JAMMU, June 12: In a proud moment for the shooting fraternity of Jammu & Kashmir, talented young shooter Aneesha has been selected to represent India in the 10m Air Rifle event at the prestigious ISSF Junior World Championship 2026, scheduled to be held from June 16 to June 26, 2026, at the Shooting Center Suhl (SSZ), Suhl, Germany. The championship, regarded as the biggest global youth shooting event of the year, will witness the participation of over 800 young athletes from approximately 66 countries, making it one of the most competitive international shooting events for junior shooters from across the world. During a special interaction at the KSS Training Camp, New Delhi, Sh. S. S. Sodhi, Governing Body Member of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), President of the Jammu & Kashmir Rifle Association (JKRA), and Chairman of the NRAI Souvenir & Badges Committee, felicitated Aneesha and extended financial assistance and best wishes on behalf of JKRA and NRAI as she prepares to represent the country at this prestigious international championship. Extending his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes, Sh. Sodhi lauded Aneesha's dedication, perseverance, and remarkable achievement in earning a place in the Indian contingent for the world championship. He stated that her selection is a matter of immense pride for Jammu & Kashmir and serves as an inspiration for aspiring shooters across the region. Wishing her success in the championship, Sh. Sodhi said, "Representing India at the ISSF Junior World Championship is a significant achievement. We are proud of Aneesha's accomplishment and confident that she will perform with determination and excellence on the world stage.
