Blood Donors Day observed at Govt Hospital, Gandhi Nagar

Jammu, June 14: World Blood Donors Day observed at Govt Hospital, Gandhi Nagar in collaboration with ISBTI. Medical Superintendent Govt Hospital Gandhi Nagar Dr Narinder Bhatial donated the blood and motivated his staff to go for this noble act and save lives. He also spoke about the importance of Voluntary Blood Donations. Rtn Dr Navneet Kaur Vice Chairperson of Indian society for blood transfusion and Immunohaematology J&K Chapter. She honoured the Voluntary Blood Donors with Momentoes and flowers as it was to mark their importance on this day by various social organisations such as ISBTI, YBA, Roatry Club Jammu Bahu & Tawi, Solace group of Volunteers. The dedicated team of Gandhi Nagar Blood Centre was spearheaded by Dr Utra Sambyal, Sh Gurdeep Singh Mrs Amita Verma Mr Anwar Ali.
Doctors, Social Organisation, healthcare workers, volunteers, and members of the public enthusiastically participated in this noble initiative.
The event aimed to spread awareness about the significance of voluntary blood donation and to motivate people to become regular blood donors to save multiple lives by helping accident victims, patients undergoing major surgeries, cancer patients, children with thalassemia and others.
