arly Times Report BANDIPORA, June 19: As part of the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), District Administration Bandipora continued its district-wide awareness campaign with pledge and pledge renewal ceremonies held across several educational institutions on Friday. The activities were organized to reinforce the commitment of students and staff towards building a drug-free society and to spread awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse. Pledge ceremonies and reinforcement programmes were conducted at Government Higher Secondary School Chuntimulla, High School Ketson, Government High School Achoora, Government Higher Secondary School PTL Gurez, Government Higher Secondary School Gadakhud, Government Higher Secondary School Quilmuqam, Boys Higher Secondary School Aloosa, High School Panar, PM SHRI Government High School Sumbal, Government Higher Secondary School Nowgam and High School Mukdamyari Hajin. During the programmes, students and teaching staff collectively renewed their commitment to abstain from drugs and actively contribute towards creating a healthy, safe and responsible society. The participants were sensitized about the social, economic and health consequences of drug abuse and were encouraged to serve as ambassadors of change within their communities. At HSS Quilmuqam, a special pledge renewal and reinforcement programme was held wherein participants reaffirmed their resolve to remain vigilant against substance abuse and promote a healthy lifestyle. The District Administration Bandipora reaffirmed its resolve to engage educational institutions, youth and community stakeholders in the fight against drug abuse and to foster a culture of awareness, responsibility and collective action towards realizing the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bandipora. |
