RAMGARH, June 19: As part of the ongoing celebrations leading up to International Yoga Day, Government Degree College (GDC) Ramgarh organized an indoor Table Tennis competition to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and overall well-being among staff members on 19.06.2026.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Brham Dutt, Vijay Kumar, Ankur Bharti, Vikas Malmotra and Govind Sharma. The competition was organized by Ashok Kumar, Director of Physical Education and Sports, under the able guidance of Principal
Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol.
In another significant initiative under Nasha Mukt Saptah (Drug-Free Week), GDC Ramgarh organized an awareness yatra among local shopkeepers and vendors to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse. During the campaign, Prof. Brham Dutt and Ashok Kumar interacted with members of the local community and highlighted the physical, social, and economic consequences of substance abuse. They also emphasized the collective responsibility of society in preventing drug addiction and creating a healthy, drug-free environment.
The programmes reflected the institution's continued commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles, social responsibility, and community engagement among students and the public. |
