JAMMU, June 19: As part of the ongoing preparations for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026, Ajaiz Qaiser, JKAS, Joint Director Tourism Jammu, today conducted a comprehensive inspection of Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, to review the arrangements being made for the smooth and hassle-free conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
During the visit, the Joint Director inspected various facilities and infrastructure being put in place for the convenience and comfort of pilgrims. He reviewed accommodation facilities, sanitation arrangements, reception and assistance counters, information dissemination mechanisms, and other essential services being established to facilitate the yatris during their stay.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajaiz Qaiser stated that preparations for the annual pilgrimage are in their final stages and that the Tourism Department is fully geared up to provide all necessary assistance to the devotees. He emphasized that every effort is being made to ensure a safe, comfortable, and pilgrim-friendly environment at Bhagwati Nagar, one of the key transit camps for the Yatra.
The Joint Director also reviewed ongoing works and directed the concerned officers to ensure timely completion of all arrangements. He stressed the importance of effective coordination among various sections and stakeholder agencies to ensure seamless management of pilgrim services during the Yatra period.
Among those present during the inspection were Savita Chouhan, JKAS, Deputy Director Tourism (Publicity); Pankaj Sasan, JKAS, Deputy Director Tourism (Administration); and Vishal Sadhotra, JKAS, Assistant Director Tourism. They were joined by officials from the Tourism Department, Fire and Emergency Services, Public Works Department, Power Development Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Police Department, and other line departments, who jointly reviewed the preparedness measures and assessed the arrangements being put in place at Bhagwati Nagar for the forthcoming pilgrimage.
The Tourism Department Jammu is working in close coordination with the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board and other concerned departments to ensure the successful, safe, and smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026. |
