DIG conducts security review, coordination meetings in Reasi

REASI, June 20: The DIG of Police, Udhampur-Reasi Range, conducted a series of security review and coordination meetings at various locations in Reasi District to assess preparedness and strengthen coordination among security agencies.
1. Security Review at Kalidhar Mandir
oThe DIG conducted a security review in view of the forthcoming local yatras at Kalidhar.
oReviewed the prevailing security arrangements and preparedness of police and allied agencies.
oInteracted with members of the civil society and appealed for cooperation with the police by sharing timely information regarding any suspicious activities.
oConducted public awareness regarding the ill effects of drug abuse under the "100 Days Nasha Mukht Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan" and urged the citizens, especially youth to stay away from drugs and engage them in physical activities like sports and athletics.
2. Security Review and Public Meeting at Bhambla
oThe DIG conducted a security review meeting at Bhambla along with Dy.SP Operations Pouni, SHO Pouni, IC PP Bhambla and CRPF.
oReviewed the overall security scenario and coordination among security agencies.
oInteracted with local residents, emphasized the importance of public cooperation in maintaining peace and security and encouraged citizens to share real-time information with the police.
3. Security Review of Shiv Khori Shrine
oThe DIG conducted a detailed security review of Shiv Khori Shrine along with Addl. SP Reasi, Dy.SP Operations Pouni, SHO Ransoo, Incharge PP Shiv Khori and officers of CAPFs.
oReview the construction work of Helipad at Shiv Khori, Santry pots, fencing and other security arrangements and preparedness for the safety and convenience of pilgrims.
oHeld coordination discussions with police, CAPFs and other stakeholders to ensure seamless management and effective security arrangements.
oInteracted with the public and sought their continued cooperation in maintaining a peaceful and secure environment.
4. Route Security Review
oThe DIG reviewed route security arrangements and inspected important locations and other strategic points connected with pilgrimage movement.
oAssessed coordination mechanisms among Police, CRPF/CAPFs and other concerned stakeholders.
oReviewed on-ground security arrangements and preparedness along the pilgrimage routes.
oNecessary directions were issued on the spot to supervisory officers for ensuring effective implementation of security measures and enhanced public safety.
The DIG reiterated that public participation and timely sharing of information play a crucial role in maintaining peace, security and public confidence. He appreciated the cooperation of local residents and stressed continued coordination among all stakeholders for ensuring a safe and secure environment.
