Trekking: Second batch leaves for Dalhousie

JAMMU, June 07: Second batch of MHAC School Nagbani, comprising 48 students including 18 girls, today left for Dalhousie to undertake a trek to Chamba under Himalayan Trekking Programme being organised by Tawi Trekkers, J&K.
The group was accompanied by three teachers of the school, Pushpa Manhas, Sudesh Bhau and Pawan Sharma. Rajinder Sharma and Abhimanyu Sherpa of Tawi Trekkers and Dr Rakesh Gupta also accompanied the group.
Nine years old, baby Ashima Kahi is the youngest student of the group while Sushmita Sharma, who is 14 years old, is oldest trekker.
Earlier, the group was seen off by a large number of adventure enthusiasts and parents of the trekkers from MA Stadium here. Among others present were Ram Khajuria, general secretary and other office bearers of the Club.
Meanwhile, the first batch of trekkers, which left Jammu yesterday has reached the beautiful meadow of Khajjiar.
