| MLA, DDC conduct inspection of renovation work of GHSS Bagdhar | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 23: Demonstrating his unwavering commitment towards quality development and public welfare, MLA Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Constituency, Baldev Raj Sharma, along with DDC Chairman Reasi, Saraf Singh Nag, conducted a detailed inspection of the ongoing renovation and allied works at Government Higher Secondary School, Bagdhar, Panchayat Sarhi, being executed at an estimated cost of Rs 65 lakhs. The inspection was undertaken following repeated complaints from local residents regarding the poor pace of work and concerns over the quality and quantity of materials being used. Acting promptly on public grievances, Baldev Raj Sharma personally visited the site to assess the ground situation and ensure that the work is being executed as per approved standards. During the inspection, the MLA expressed serious dissatisfaction over the ongoing work and observed that there appeared to be a compromise in both quality and quantity, which is unacceptable in any public development project. He firmly stated that no negligence, corruption, or substandard work will be tolerated, especially in projects related to educational infrastructure meant for the welfare of students and future generations. Taking immediate action, Baldev Raj Sharma contacted the XEN PWD and directed him to visit the site within one week along with the technical staff and the concerned contractor for a thorough inspection and necessary corrective measures. Baldev Raj Sharma reiterated that every single rupee of public money must be utilized transparently and efficiently, and all development works must meet the highest standards of quality and accountability. He assured the people that their concerns will always be heard and addressed on priority. The inspection was conducted in the presence of Mandal President Bhomag Bhuri Singh Nag, Sarpanch Panchayat Sarhi Tirth ram, Panch Mulk Raj, and prominent local residents. |
