| Bus mishaps | | PCC express shock over loss of human lives | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 8: The Pradesh congress committee (PCC) has expressed deep shock over the loss of lives in road accident in district yesterday and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. In a meeting leaders of expressed concern over the repeated road accidents and urged for thorough enquiry into the reasons and stern measures to check reoccurrence of such road tragedies. They also demanded adequate ex-gratia relief to the affected families. Prominent those who condoled the deaths included MLC Amrit Malhotra, S. Gurmukh Singh, Th. Hari Singh, Yash Paul Khajuria, Ravinder Sharma, MLC Vinod Sharma, S. Amolak Singh, Om Chopra, Bharat Gandhi, Baldev Sharma, Krishan Lal Gupta, Raval Mattoo, Ashwani Puri, Pritam Singh, Bhagwan Singh, Kiran Balas, Kirtan Singh, V.K. Sethi, Mian Nazir and others. Meanwhile, districts congress committee Kishtwar also expressed shock and grief over the loss of lives in a bus accident and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Pradessp Parihar in the condolence meeting expressed concern over the repeated road accidents in the area and urged for thorough enquiry into the reason and stern measures to check reoccurrence of such tragedies. Parihar said that govt. had made commitments after the previous accidents for providing 30 buses of RTC to over come the problem of shortage of transport and to check the over loading but it is unfortunate that the commitment has not been fulfilled. Those who attended the meeting included Sheikh Ghulam Haider, Haji Ghulam Hussan Mir, Nek Ram Manhas, Dev Raj Sharma, Mohd. Amin Shah, Prakash Ram Sharma, Pyare Lal Shan, Irshad Ahmed Sheikh.
