| JKAEDA flays govt bias attitude towards farmers | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 8: The indiscriminative attitude of the state government towards the farmers of Jammu region has been viewed seriously by Kulbushan Khajuria president J&K Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development Association (JKAEDA). Addressing a press conference here today, Khajuria said that non availability of required stock of fertilizers for kharif crop is a big hurdle as the season is going to start shortly. He said three type of mixed fertilizer and its timely use is very much required so as to get maximum produce. He said only 30% of the required fertilizer is available in the Jammu region while Kashmir division has full 100 percent. He said Rs 80 per quintals charged extra due to VAT and other taxes, while in others state formers have been exempted from these taxes. He said former especially younger farmer have great expectation from t he chief minister Omar Farooq to help the farmers in the state. He said it can be achieved if government provides timely fertilizer to farmers.
