| Gujjars allege discrimination | | | Early Times Report Jammu , June 8: The Jammu and Kashmir Gujjars United Front (JKGUF) has alleged non-serious attitude of the state government with regard to the burning issues of Gujjars in J&K. Talking to media persons here today, Anwar Choudhary, president of the front said that twenty lakhs population is not being treated as part and parcel of the state which is revealed from the fact that no attention is being paid to address their problems. He demanded political reservation to Gujjars, settlement of nomadic population of Gujjars permanently, menace of fake and fraudulent ST certificate should be checked, harassment of Gujjars should be ended, J&K Gujjars Advisory Board be made functional by appointing qualified person, basic amenities to Gujjars, adequate educational, medical facilities, scholarship for Gujjars students should be released and others. Choudhary appealed to Gujjars of J&K to unite under the banner of JKGUF for their rights and achievning their cherished goal of political reservation in the state. Among others who were present in the press conference include Asghar Chowdhary, Manzoor Hussain Udhampuri, Molvi Abdul Rehman and others.
