| Aghar Jitto mela concludes, over 20,000 pay obesiance | | | Early Times Report REASI, JUNE 8 : Approximately 20000 devotees from various parts of Jammu region and different parts of the country visited historic ancient Baba Jitto temple at village Guni Aghar situated on Reasi -Katra road in district Reasi on the concluding day of during 3-day mela today. This was disclosed by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Katra, Arvind Sharma Incharge (Mela Officer). This ancient place remains a hub for devotees through out the year and thousands of devotees from all corners of Jammu province and pilgrims of Shiv Khori visit this site to seek blessings of Baba Jitto who is popularly known as great revolutionary farmers who laid down his life for the cause of farming community. The devotees after taking bath in natural springs existing near the temple of Baba Jitto get relief from various ailments and skin diseases and return happily with the blessing of Baba Jitto Mal Ji. For the successful culmination of the three-day festival, the district administration of Reasi had made elaborate arrangements of security, drinking water and power supply, medicare, traffic regulation, sanitation, fire services and stock of essential commodities etc. A Vishal Kesari Dangal was also held at the mela site in which large number of wrestlers from various parts of state, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi participated.
