| Aghar Jitto dangal: Bagga-Benia share title | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 09: Bagga of Amritsar and Benia Bean of Basantgar in Udhampur shared the Annual Aghar Jitto Kesari title after the main bout played between them ended in a draw at village Aghar Jitto on Katra-Reasi road.
The 46-minute long marathon fight for the title remained undecided, resulting into both were given away a prize of Rs 3000 each by the chief guest, Tehsildar Katra, Amar Nath Badyal and Shiv Kumar Sharma, president, J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. Vinod Kumar, AEE PDD and retired ZEO, Bansi Lal Sharma were guests of honour.
Dangal was organised by Baba Jitto Temple Development Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
In all, 36 bouts played in the day long dangal wherein local wrestlers and those from outside the state took part. The second main bout was won by Goga of Amritsar, who defeated Swarn Singh of Kot Bhalwal in Jammu while third main bout went to Nasib Singh of Mahore, who beat Akram of Jammu.
