| NSUI asks CM to deliver on promises | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu Jun 9 National Students Union of India (NSUI) today urged the young chief minister to fulfill the promises that he made to the youth of the State. Addressing a press conference at Congress Bahavan Shahidi Chowk the NSUI has drawn the attention of the chief Minster to the promises made by the coalition to the youth and students of the state during the last assembly elections. On the occasions Rashid Choudhary, State President NSUI said that many promises were made to the youth included stipend to the unemployed all educated youth, post middle school scholarships for all the students, one employment for every home, infrastructure and funds for all new colleges and university campuses etc but the Government has not been able to make any significant start on any of the above issues. Rashid Choudhary, appealed the Chief Minster to start action at the earliest regarding the work at the central university and IIM that have been granted by central Govt. to the state of NSUI also demanded immediate release of funds for the new campuses started by university of Jammu and university of Kashmir for developing infrastructure and recruitment of human resource. He was highly critical of the policy of the bureaucrats and particularly the Universities of Jammu as well as University of Kashmir about the new campuses. Choudhary appreciated and welcomed the recent decisions of Jammu University Academic Council particularly introduction of the entrance based admission system in P.G. and M.Phil. Courses.
