| HC constitutes mediation, conciliation committees | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 09-For the first time in the judicial history of Jammu and Kashmir, the Full court of the State High Court has decided to constitute mediation and conciliation committees in both the wing of state High Court which shall comprise of a High Court Judge and two Advocates to be nominated by the Chief Justice. Chief Justice Barin Ghosh has constituted the mediation and conciliation committees in each wing of the state High Court comprising Justice Sunil, senior Advocates DC Raina and AV Gupta for Jammu Wing and Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar, senior Advocate ZA Shah and Advocate BA Bashir for Srinagar wing. The principal object of these committees is to impart awareness about the mediation and conciliation. They shall also ensure facility of mediation and conciliation amongst the litigants whose cases shall be referred to them by the Courts. They shall prepare programs for setting-up mediation centers and for round the clock working of the said centers. For the purpose of mediation, they may work together or individually on the basis of assignments or through other experts, as may be determined by them. JNF
