Jammu, June 9: The Home Department of Jammu and Kashmir Government has placed 54 Inspectors of the Executive Cadre as Deputy Superintendents of Police in their own pay and grenade.
According to an Home Department order, their promotion is on officiating basis and shall be confirmed by the Departmental Promotion Committee. Many of the Inspectors promoted in today’s order are currently posted as Station House Officers of various Police stations.
Those promoted are: Iftikar Ahmed, Parvez Ahmed Dar, Rajinder Singh, Reyaz Ahmed, Assedullah Dar, Bal Krishan Koul, Gh Mohd Jeelani, Mohd Akram, Mushtaq Ahmed, Surinder Kumar, Ravail Singh, Pran Nath, Harjeet Singh, Feroz Ahmed, Kewal Krishan, Jagbir Singh, Yashpal Singh, Ferdous Ahmed, Ravinder Paul Singh, Jagdev Singh, Diwakar Singh, RK Ganjoo, Nissar Hussain, Vikram Singh, Mushtaq Ahmed, Abdul Wahid Giri, Rajinder Kumar, Mohd Saleem, Ramnish Kumar, Parshotam Kumar, Swaran Singh, Kuldeep Raj, Vinod Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Hira Lal, Madan Mohan Singh, Ram Singh, Saryoz Ahmed, Nissar Hussain, Aizaz Ahmed, Ali Mohd, Charanjit Singh, Mohd Afzal, Kamaljit Singh, Mohd Tufil, Abdul Rashid Khan, Lazar Khanyary, Bodh Raj, Mohd Rafiq, Hamid Hussain, Labzang Sharab, Joginder Singh and Updesh Kumar.
Meanwhile, the Zonal Police headquarters Kashmir has promoted 1002 constables, Selection Grade constables and head constables to their higher rank respectively. The order has been issued by Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone.
In this regard ZPHQ, Srinagar has issued seven orders 214,215,216,217,218,219 and 220.Under order number 214 of 2009 dated 08-06-2009, eighty one ( 810 Head constables have been promoted to the rank of Assistant sub-Inspectors in the pay scale of (Rs. 4500-125-7000 ) with effect from the date they have been brought on promotion list ’D’.
Under order number 215 of 2009, 217of 2009 and 218 of 2009 dated 08-06-2009 one hundred forty two (142) Sg Cts have been promoted to Head Constables.
Under order number 216 of 2009,219 of 2009 and 220 of 2009 Seven hundred and seventy nine constables have been promoted to the rank of SG-Constables in the pay scale of (Rs.4200-75-5325) with effect from the date they have been brought on promotion list ‘A-I’.
